Hearts Afire

I finished two ridiculously time-consuming embroidery pieces this week.

I figured they deserved gold frames. I hadn’t gold-leafed anything in a really long time and I’d forgotten how fun it is. I’m putting all my embroidery work up on flickr too, licensed CC. If anybody ever wants to copy these for their own embroidery, be inspired by them, use them as tattoos- I would be very pleased!

UPDATE: both these pieces have been sold, but you can commission similar works.

Oh my gosh darling, as if you could ever ask a tacky question! I did not ever intend to sell any of my embroidery works, because they take so ridiculously long to do I would have to charge a lot of money, but then a patron said, “What’s the problem? I will pay a lot of money.” So I have sold some. You can see them when you’re here and we can discuss this!
